Obama has visited Africa on Saturday, and asked the country reps to treat gays equally. Kenya, which is Obama's father place of birth, was visited by Obama on Saturday. Kenyan politicians noted that gay rights wasn't really an issue in their area., and not a lot of people are demanding rights for it. Having gay sex in Kenya can lead to 14 years in prison.

California has created a historic first ever $1.5 million fine for the central valley farmers who have been accused of illegally taking water during this horrific drought in California.  

British cosmologist Stephen Hawking is launching the largest search for Extra Terrestrial life in history this far. The estimated time for the expedition is 10 year long and has cost over $100 million.    

A 58-year-old man killed two people, injured seven more, and then delivered a fatal shot to himself inside a movie theater in Lafayette, Louisiana. According to witnesses, the man was sitting in the theater, stood up, and started to open fire without saying anything. The man's identity has yet to be reveled. UPDATE (11:35 AM EST): The identity of the shooter has been revealed to be John Houser.
