Nintendo set to fail 2014

After a lawsuit loss, Nintendo must now pay royalties for every 3DS and 3DS XL sold to Seijiro Tomita of Tomita Technologies USA.    The lawsuit was initiated by Tomita back in 2011, when it was claimed that the 3D Camera that the 3DS possesses is infringing a patent that Tomita owned.    Nearly 2% of every 3DS that retailers have to buy to restock on the product must be given to Tomita. As you can guess, this will add up very quickly.    On top of the copyright infringement, it has been clear that Nintendo's current home console, Wii-U, has flopped and sales are dangerously low. Nintendo has cut their sales projection for the console from 9 million units to 2.8 million units.    2014 is not looking too bright for the once industry leading company.
