North Korea fires rockets for the second time this week

   According to South Korea, North Korea has fired rockets for the second time this week.     Two rockets were fired and flew slightly more than 300 miles. It is unclear what North Korea is planning, but South Korea is reportingly paying close attention to the nation. Information from CNN

Smallpox found alive in contained area

   Two vials of the smallpox virus were found in an NIH storage room. Test results confirmed that the virus in the vials are alive and show signs of growth.    It was previously unknown that the vials existed, and the Center of Disease Control is searching to make sure there are no more vials of the sickness. Shooting in Texas leave six dead, one critically injured

   34-year-old Ron Lee Haskell allegedly killed four children, 2 boys and 2 girls aged 7-13, and two adults, and critically injured a 15-year-old girl.    The victims were all in a home belonging to Haskell's wife's relatives. Haskell was arrested after a long stand off. Information from CNN

Baby said to be cured of HIV still has HIV

   It was found that a baby from Mississippi, who was thought to be cured from HIV, has detectable levels of HIV in her body.    The virus was detected over two years after she stopped taking the drugs that supposedly cured the STD.

North Korea launches missiles

   North Korea has reportingly launched short-ranged missiles earlier today. They are believed to have flown more than 300 miles.    The missiles flew into the sea. Nobody was injured. Information from CNN
