Twitter stock in freefall after Google announces it will not bid on site

With rumors circulating that everyone from Disney to Google want to acquire the social media site Twitter (TWTR), investors have been excited about the company. This excitement has come to an end, however, as Google officially announced that they do not plan on bidding on the company, and shares have dropped 20% so far today.

Hurricane Matthew to strike Florida, North/South Carolinia

Florida has officially declared state of emergency and all residences are advised to stock up on supplies and seek appropriate shelter. There have been over 100 confirmed deaths so far, and many more are expected. Florida Governor: "This storm will kill you"

The Clown Craze

Recently there have been many clown related incidences from many different communities all throughout the U.S.  Many of them have been focused in high populated areas such as college campuses.  This has caused many different issues such as arrests, school lock downs, warnings sent out by school, social media explosions and even a briefing in the White House meeting this week.  This causes many concerns for the Halloween/Trick or Treat season coming up in which everyone will be dressing up and it will be uncertain which clowns are safe.  This will be carefully monitored and updated as this situation continues. pic.twitter.com/3VfPxSagEi  

Teen mother drops newborn baby out of her second story apartment window

Antonia Lopez's mugshot - courtesy of Yahoo Antonia Lopez, a 16-year-old from Omaha Nebraska, is being charged with murder after killing her newborn baby by dropping her out of her second story window. Lopez gave birth to her daughter alone in her bedroom, and then through the newborn out the window. The pre-mature child was only two pounds, and did not survive the fall. Information from Yahoo! 7-year-old tells school employee that her parents haven't moved in two days - police later find parents dead

McKeesport, PA parents Christopher Dilly, 26 and Jessica Lally, 27, were found dead at their home after one of their children told a school employee that her parents haven't moved in two days. Dilly and Lally were responsible for four children in their home. While a cause of death hasn't been officially announced, drug paraphernalia has been found near the bodies.   Information from Yahoo! Hurricane Matthew kills 7 - on route to US

Hurricane Matthew, a category 5 hurricane, has killed 7 in Haiti and the Dominican Republic is on route to hit Florida in the next coming days. The death toll is expected to rise and people residing in the area the storm will be hitting are advised to seek shelter.

Clinton Clenches the Lead

In a recent poll done by CNN.com, Clinton leads the with 47% while Trump falls behind at 42%.  In the poll prior (taken in September) Trump had taken the lead 44% to 37%.  Gary Johnson now has 7% of the vote and Green Party nominee Jill Stein at 2%.

Taliban attacks Kunduz

The Taliban reportedly took control of the center of Kunduz, Afghanistan today. The Taliban launched an attack on four different parts of the city. The Afghan agovernment forces are currently fighting to defend the city. More Info from CNN

Killer Hurricane Nears Haiti and Jamaica

Hurricane Matthew is getting close to Haiti and Jamaica, and it is expected to cause massive damage. The category 4 hurricane is expected to have winds up to 130 mph and more than a foot of rain is expected to fall in isolated areas. More Info from CNN

A TV That Fits in Your Pocket

LG just recently released a prototype for a new TV that you are able to simply roll up like a newspaper and store/transport anywhere.  This TV feels like a laminated piece of paper however has the display of any beautiful HD LG display that has been seen in all of their previous TVs.  Although the prototype is only 20 inches large they are trying to reach sized of 50 inches are more.  LGs idea behind this is, why have a giant block on your wall that is hard to move, when you could have a TV you can roll up and store/transport when it isn't being used.  They are hoping to release more prototypes later this year, potentially being a pioneer in the future of television. http://nerdist.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/LG-Rollable-screen-feature-image-01072016.jpg

Kanye West Leaves Concert Early Because of Family Emergency

Kanye West abruptly leaves in the middle of his set early on Sunday at the Meadows Festival in New York  declaring a "family emergency".  Later on in the evening a twitter post by the Meadow Festival confirms the situation and announces that he will not be making it back to finish the show.  Rumors flare about the possible emergencies that could have arisen in the West household however nothing has been announced yet.  https://twitter.com/themeadowsnyc/status/782762656746831872?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw Update 11:43 PM: Kim Kardashian was reportedly held at gun point at a hotel in Paris by two masked men. New iPhone 7th Generation All That it's Cracked up To Be?
