iPad Air review
iPad Air
This new iPad may be lighter, thinner and faster, but is it worth it's gigantic price tag?
The iPad Air is the newest iPad from Apple. It has a faster processor, prettier screen, lighter weight and a thinner body.
If you already have an iPad, then stop reading this review right now. Don't waste your money on the iPad Air as the difference between the last generation model and this one is very slim.
Apple claims the WiFi is 2x faster than the last generation, and I believe it. Everything about the Air just screams fast. It is all very smooth and responsive. The screen is extremely pretty; it is the best screen I have seen on a tablet so far. If you don't have an iPad already, then now is a good time to buy one. It is obviously the best iPad out there, but it might actually be the best tablet out there as well.
Hardware: The specs are very impressive. The iPad Air can run any app you download with no hiccups or lag. It has a beautiful screen and the (very few) physical buttons on the tablet are responsive and sturdy. My only complaint is the built in speakers on the Air are not very loud or crisp. Headphones or speakers are a must for the iPad Air, but that can be expected for any tablet.
Price: This is where the iPad Air suffers. The Air starts at $500 and goes up to $799.99. The Air is not only more expensive than just about any other tablet on the market, but more expensive than a lot of actual desktop and laptop computers. Don't expect the price to go down any time soon either.
Overall: You are paying a premium price for a premium product. I recommend the iPad Air to anybody needing a high-end tablet or computer. If you already own a previous iPad model, however, then I would skip the Air. It is just not a big enough difference for you to upgrade. Wait until the new model comes out.
