Connecticut high school student slashed to death by classmate

   Maren Sanchez, a 16-year-old girl attending Jonathan Law High School in Milford, Connecticut, was slashed to death by a classmate during school.
   The suspect is in custody and the murder weapon, a knife, has been recovered. While the motive is not finalized, it is believed that the suspect asked Sanchez to prom, and was then turned down. The suspect then turned violent and killed Sanchez.
   Prom for Jonathan Law High School has been postponed.
